are 1) to encourage the use of seismometers and earthquakes in order to
enhance the teaching of earth science, computer science, physics and related
sciences, 2) to increase the seismic monitoring of local earthquakes in
Georgia and the southeastern United States and 3) help educate the general
public on earthquakes and earthquake hazard.
